About Vestige
This work is about what time leaves behind. The word vestige means a trace of something that once existed, a small piece that remains after the rest has faded. The painting shows an old rusted bulletin board, covered in paper and marks from the past. Every shadow, crack, and tear is painted by hand; even the frame is part of the illusion. It is completely flat, yet it asks the eye to believe it has depth.
